La Crosse’s Only Provider of CBP Spinal Rehab
What is Spinal Rehab? Is it right for me?
Spinal rehab is a combination of chiropractic adjustments, therapeutic exercises, and spinal traction. With these three techniques we are able to structurally change the spine to restore the spine from disease, injury and daily repetative trauma.
Driftless Chiropractic & Spinal Rehab utilizes a specific technique known as Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP™) to assist in the correction of spinal curvatures. Chiropractic Biophysics™ is the most researched technique available in chiropractic today. CBP™ uses principles of structural engineering to analyze the effects of stresses and abnormal loads (postures) on the spine and nervous system. This chiropractic technique is proven to restore the structure of the spine to within normal limits through use of specific forces and exercises to the supporting muscles and ligaments of the spine.
A little known fact is that there are 3 distinct curvatures of the spine, all of which have specific measurements they should fall within. Over time, due to stresses and injury, these curvatures can become lost as in the case with “Military Neck”. The curves can also abnormally increase as is the case of an overly arched mid-back. These defects in spinal curvature, just like scoliosis, will eventually cause stress, decay, and disease within the spine.
Unlike regular chiropractic that mainly focus on immediate pain relief, Chiropractic BioPhysics™ goes one step further to also correct the source of the problem. That’s why most patients not only report relief from pain and discomfort, but as their posture begins to align they notice other conditions clearing up as well. With specifically crafted tools and techniques the doctors of Driftless Chiropractic & Spinal Rehab can correct and ultimately heal the spine in a way unique to the La Crosse area.
The CBP Difference
Chiropractic BioPhysics™ (CBP™) is one of the most scientifically validated techniques in chiropractic. Chiropractic BioPhysics™ is a chiropractic technique developed and studied, starting in the 1970s, by Donald D. Harrison, PhD, DC, MSE. Standard chiropractic techniques are used along with CBP treatments, these treatments involve specifically positioning a patients spine and body parts into unique positions called their Mirror Image®. Techniques include joint and body part adjustments, specific exercises, and spine remodeling techniques.
The CBP technique has been studied and tested through more than 130 clinical trial and research studies over more than three decades. It is proven that Chiropractic BioPhysics produces results.

I Needed More Than An Adjustment
Without the x-rays and follow up, I wouldn’t have known the extent of my problems. I really needed more than just an adjustment. I have been getting therapies and it makes me much more aware of my posture and doing simple exercises has strengthened my back and neck. There is a lot of education and TLC so thanks Dr. Ross and Dr Shauna for your expertise!
Treatment Tailored To My Needs
I am very pleased with the care I have received at Driftless Chiropractic. Dr. Ross & Dr. Shauna truly care about helping. They spend a great deal of time at the consultation, explaining your x-rays, and ways to treat. I never feel rushed. The adjustments are for your whole spine. The treatment is tailored to your needs. I also love the icing treatment after the adjustment. I never find time to do it at home, so to offer it there is a great benefit to me. This has been totally different than prior chiropractic treatment, where I felt I was rushed in & out!
