Our goal is to not only ease your aches and pains, but to find the root cause of your conditions and bring your body back to its normal functions. It is our core philosophy to treat the underlying cause of all disease and ailment, the methods which we employ allow us to do just that.

  • Chiropractic is a form of healthcare which focuses on achieving optimal health, compared to merely focusing on disease.

Chiropractic is a drug-free, hands-on approach to health; it focuses on disorders of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems and their effects on ones general health.

  • Chiropractors are unique in that they treat the central nervous system, they do so through adjusting spinal joints to remove subluxations. A subluxation is a misalignment of one or more spinal bones which puts pressure on or irritates the spinal nerves. This pressure or irritation on the nerves causes them to malfunction and interferes with the central nervous system’s ability to heal and regulate the body. In addition to adjustments of the spinal joints; chiropractors adjust joints of the extremities, perform exams, diagnose, and instruct therapeutic exercises.

  • Chiropractic adjustments consist of manually applying a specific and controlled force into a joint that has become subluxated (restricted); thus restoring joint mobility, alleviating pain and muscle tension.

Joints can become subluxated (misaligned / restricted) from soft tissue injuries. These injuries could be the result of a more obvious traumatic event; such as an auto accident, a fall, improper lifting, or the birthing process. These injuries could also result from the repetitive stresses of daily life that are less obvious; such as sitting or driving for long hours with poor posture, students with heavy back packs, and athletic sports.

Regardless of the cause, injured tissues produce inflammation, pain, and reduced function for the patient. Research and clinical experience has shown a link between spinal subluxations, musculoskeletal problems, and pain. Rather than taking pain medications to simply mask the symptoms of the underlying problem, chiropractic evaluation will identify and address exactly what is causing the pain.

The spine consists of 24 moving vertebrae which hold within them the spinal cord or central nervous system. When these vertebrae lose their normal motion or position they can irritate and place pressure on the nerves, thus reducing their function. As a result of this disruption; all of the organs, tissues, and cells that this irritated nerve controls have reduced function.
